KVINT — Support

Published by Aksial Technologies AS · Oslo

Something not working, or a word that should not have been there? Email support@aksial.io. We read everything.

What to include when you write

KVINT accounts are anonymous, so we cannot look you up by email — the address you write from tells us nothing about your account. If your question is about your own progress, purchase or leaderboard entry, please include the username or display name shown in your profile, and the date the problem happened. Without one of those we can see the problem exists but not which account it belongs to.

Common questions

Do I need an account?

No, and there is nothing to sign in to. The app creates an anonymous account for you on first launch so your streak, stats and leaderboard place have somewhere to live. There is no email, no password and no Sign in with Apple. What that costs is described plainly in the privacy policy.

I got a new phone — is my progress gone?

Usually not. Your account is held by a random secret stored in the iOS Keychain, so a normal device transfer or an iCloud Keychain restore brings your progress with it. If that secret is gone — Keychain disabled, or a device set up as new without it — the account cannot be reclaimed, by you or by us, because there is no email or password behind it to prove ownership. It is the honest cost of not asking you for an identity.

When does the daily puzzle change?

At midnight UTC, the same moment for everyone. It is deliberately not your local midnight, so no one gets an earlier or later puzzle than anyone else.

What is free, and what does KVINT+ cost?

The daily puzzle, your stats, streaks, achievements, leaderboards and multiplayer are all free. KVINT+ is $4.99, once, and unlocks the Maze. It is not a subscription: nothing renews, nothing expires, and there is nothing to cancel. The Maze ships inside the app and works offline, so it keeps working whatever happens to us later.

Why can I only play a few matches a day?

Multiplayer starts with three free matches a day. Beyond that you can extend with credits you have earned from playing the daily, up to a total of eight matches — the daily play funds the evening's matches. The limit exists because running real-time multiplayer costs us money per match, and we would rather cap it than sell it as a service we have to keep alive forever.

If the count looks wrong — matches you never played, or a cap that does not reset — that is a bug. Tell us the date and your username.

I bought KVINT+ on another device

Restore Purchases in Settings, signed in with the same Apple Account that bought it.

Something went wrong with a charge

Refunds are Apple's to give, not ours — use reportaproblem.apple.com. If the app is not recognising a purchase you are sure you made, email support@aksial.io and we will check the entitlement record on our side.

That is not a word / my correct word was rejected

Send us the word and the date. Every answer in the pool is scored and approved by hand before it can be scheduled, but a list of that size will always have something wrong in it, and a rejected valid word is worth just as much to us as a bad answer.

How do I change the name on the leaderboard?

Profile → edit, where you can set a display name and a username. Both are optional and both are public — leave them blank and you appear anonymously.

How do I delete my account?

Settings → Delete account. This removes the account and everything attached to it from our servers immediately: progress, stats, credits, achievements and leaderboard entries. It cannot be undone, and an anonymous account cannot be restored afterwards. Deleting the app on its own removes only the local copy.

Is my data used to train anything?

No. Nothing you type in KVINT is sent to an AI model at all. See the privacy policy for exactly what is stored and which processors handle it.

Do I get notifications?

Only if you turn on the daily reminder, and it is scheduled by the app on your own device. We do not operate a push server and we will not send you anything else.

Which languages are supported?

KVINT launches in English. More language packs are planned, and they arrive as free updates to this same app rather than as separate apps.
