what it is
a five-letter word game without the noise. one shared word a day, free and ad-free, no account forms, no streak-shaming. duel a friend turn by turn, race a room of strangers live, and behind the app's one purchase, a weekly maze of seven doors that plays offline.
the hard part
what took the longest
an economy the client can only read. every credit, score and streak is written by the server re-deriving it from state it already holds, because a word game with a leaderboard is a cheating target the moment a row can be forged. and a word that changes every morning, on time, whether we are awake or not.
what we kept
reusable in the next one
a daily content loop that ships itself: three months of words scheduled ahead under spacing rules, picked by the server, unreadable before their day.
one room machinery that runs turn-based duels and live races, with the match cap enforced inside the same call that creates the room.
an economy with no faucet: credits exist only where the server minted them, so the leaderboard is worth reading.
what it proved
one honest sentence
no call mints credits and no client writes a score. we deleted three leaderboards rather than rank numbers we could not verify.

what it costs
the daily is always free, and there are no ads anywhere. multiplayer gives you three matches a day; credits you earn by playing buy up to five more. one purchase, $4.99, opens the maze. no subscription, and credits are never for sale.
